Contact your state attorney general every time they call you! Get your AG's contact information from this list: http://www.howtofightspam.com/ag.html
Describe the call in the email (how they impersonate your credit card company and whatever else happened), and I suppose a link to this blog wouldn't hurt either.
If you have any other ideas on how to get rid of this company, leave a comment. If you got a call from this company also leave a comment just to say "they called me too", that way we can get an idea of how many people are searching the internet for these people.
Not only does this company violate the federal Do Not Call List, but the also impersonate your credit card company and impersonate "Visa Mastercard" this is wrong and should be stopped. I don't even know what they're up to in the end -- My guess is that they refer people to a separate consolidation company and they get paid for each referral they make. But they could be the company that actually gives out the loans. They could also be part of some large phishing scam -- they sure don't hesitate to hang up on people when they ask too many questions, so I don't doubt that they're up to something criminal. It's just a matter of figuring out if their criminal activity stops at the do not call list violation, harassment and claiming to be calling from a company they are not (not sure if that one is criminal, but it should fall under harassment and Visa or MC could probably sue them for their false claims) They could be involved with deeper scams like phishing for SSNs, credit card numbers and other ID theft info.
When they call me again I will try to keep them on the phone longer so I can get more information on what they're about. I think I will have to give them some fake account numbers before I will be able to get any information out of them (all other attempts resulted in them hanging up on me), but if they actually offer consolidation there has to be a legit company name, address and phone number somewhere.
